Petronas Kaizen Principles Training
About the training
This Petronas training session covered Kaizen Principles for a different department from the earlier Petronas Carigali PSM programme. The session reinforced the same core message: improvement needs a clear standard, practical problem-solving discipline, and active participation from the team doing the work.
The training used classroom facilitation, group discussion, and practical examples to introduce Kaizen as a daily operating discipline. A visible theme from the session was standardisation: where there is no standard, there can be no meaningful improvement.
Training approach
The session focused on helping participants understand Kaizen beyond slogans. Participants discussed how improvement ideas are identified, prioritised, and translated into action through team ownership, visual thinking, and simple improvement routines that can be repeated in daily work.
